JOB SUMMARY:
Provides professional nursing care as directed by the Washington State Nurse Practice Act and Pacific Medical Centers policies, procedures, and protocols, i.e., provides primary and specialty health care services in collaboration with other members of the health care team while integrating clinical, teaching, consulting, care coordination/case management, and leadership nursing roles. Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice, incorporating the principles of Nursing Process when delivering care. Provides care requiring specialized skills, experience, knowledge, and demonstrated competency.
REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
• Nursing degree (Baccalaureate, Associate or Diploma) from an accredited school of nursing.
• Currently licensed to practice in Washington State.
• Basic Life Support certification within 3 months of hire.
• One year recent RN experience in a patient care setting.
• Computer skills: typing, email, word-processing.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Additional for Ambulatory Surgery Center
• ACLS certification.
• Three to five years recent experience in an acute care setting.
Additional for Hematology/Oncology:
• Chemotherapy certification within 6 months of hire.
Additional for Cardiovascular:
• ACLS Certification.
• Three to five years recent experience in a setting treating cardiac patients.
• Completion of Basic Arrhythmia Course.
• Recent critical care experience – ICU, surgery, or ED.
Additional for Diabetes Nurse Educator:
• Diabetes Educator Certification required within 2 years of hire.
Preferred:
• Two plus years recent RN experience in a patient care setting.
• Recent prior experience in an out-patient setting.
Additional for Ambulatory Surgery Center:
• Critical care, Emergency Room, Recovery Room, or Endoscopy experience.
• Certification in specialty.
Additional for Hematology/Oncology:
• Oncology Nursing Certification.
• IV therapy certification.
Additional for Cardiovascular:
• CCRN Certification.
• ACCN Certification.
