The Cardiac Care Unit is a fast paced 11-bed intensive care unit specializing in the management of critical cardiac and medical ICU patients. The RN staff is certified in the management of IABP patients, complicated cardiogenic shock, high risk pre- and post- cardiac intervention patients, and post thrombolytic therapy. They are also expert in the care of patients with respiratory failure requiring mechanical ventilation, sepsis, post-codes, and other highly acute medical conditions.
Mercy San Juan Medical Center, a member of Catholic Healthcare West and national winner of the Thomson Top 100 Hospitals for 2006, is a not-for-profit, 260-bed facility and Level II Trauma Center located in Sacramento, California. We are currently completing a $125 million expansion project that will bring an additional 110 private care beds to our community.
