Job: Pediatric RN – Back Office Supervisor
Jobing Description
We are looking for a full-time RN to act as a Back Office Supervisor for Mountainland Pediatrics in Thornton, CO. Under direct supervision of the Associate Director of Integrated Care, the Back Office Supervisor organizes, administers, and oversees the operation of the Mountainland Pediatric back office. Oversees and coordinates team functions to enhance the quality of treatment patients receive and ensure compliance with company goals. Responsible for the administrative oversight of triage department, medical assistants, referral clerks, and nursing staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Supervises and evaluates back office staff.
* Oversees lab for clinic, and ensures compliance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA). Coordinates with State and Federal agencies for requests of audit of records.
* Maintains OSHA logs for pediatric clinic.
* Acts as back-up to nursing staff as needed.
* Performs chart checks daily to assure accuracy/match of documentation in the EHR.
* Maintain confidentiality of consumer records.
* Provides assistance in crisis intervention, as needed.
* Oversees, coordinates, and provides professional leadership in the provision of clinical services provided by the program, in accordance with program objectives, clinical guidelines, procedures and standards, and company goals.
* Identifies, implements and monitors customer service standards to ensure program is meeting internal and external customer needs, in a professional manner.
* Train and evaluate back office medical staff to maintain quality within the team, encourage growth and development of staff while instilling awareness of cultural diversity.
* Complete performance evaluations timely and provide appropriate coaching and counseling to ensure all employees perform at satisfactory levels, identify when discipline is appropriate.
* Participate in the selection process for internal and external candidates for program back office staff.
* Conducts timely audits to ensure compliance with Community Reach Center goals, policies, State and other regulatory policies regarding medical care and documentation.
* Takes corrective action as needed to ensure compliance of established budget and patient care.
* Attends all management meetings and serves on appropriate work groups / committees to further the goals of Community Reach Center.
* Serves as a representative/role model of the programs as well as Community Reach Center with program consultants, consumers, families and the community as required. Projects a positive image to other agencies and general public.
* Promotes cooperative working relationships and positive team atmosphere.
* Performs other such duties as assigned within the scope of the position and program description, as well as those reflective of experience, education and ability.
Skills / Requirements
Requirements:
* Status as a Colorado Registered Nurse in good standing.
* Minimum of three years direct back office experience.
* Prior supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Prior pediatric setting experience.
