Business Health Solutions, PC, a leader in occupational and environmental health nursing and safety services is seeking a Certified Occupational Health Nurse-Specialist for a full-time position based at a Fortune 200 Company in Carrollton, Texas.
This unique opportunity provides the right candidate with the autonomy to assist this world-class corporation to promote worker health and safety through the prevention and management of workplace injuries and illnesses for their employees. Experience in the management and cost containment strategies of worker’s compensation cases is essential for success in this position. The successful candidate will also possess experience with OSHA, FMLA, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements dealing with employee health and safety issues. Track record of successful collaboration with management, employees, outside vendors, and healthcare providers is essential to the overall qualifications of the right candidate. Other responsibilities will include: appropriate recordkeeping for all injuries, illnesses, and other statistics as required by the company; medical clearance for new hire applicants, management of health surveillance programs, medical contact person for assistance of non-work related information; resource to management on health and safety issues; ability to prioritize and manage daily workload; counsel employees in regards to non-work related injuries, illnesses and employee assistance program; conduct Bloodborne Pathogen training; conduct annual employee health fair; and participate with emergency preparedness and response teams.
Candidates will possess current registered nurse license in the state; desire two plus years experience in Occupational Health Nursing. Will consider candidates with ER or ICU experience.
