Occupational Health Manager
(Kedah – Kulim)
Responsibilities:
Basic Job Functions:
* Workers Compensation Program Administration
* Injury and Medical Case Management
* Supervise Contract Health Services Group
* Medical Monitoring Program Management
* Confidential Medical Information Management
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
* Manage implementation and development of occupational health programs
* Maintain on-going log of injuries.
* Manage contract medical and nursing group
* Ensure medical files are up to date
* Ensure alignment with global Occupational Health goals and programs.
* Responsible for promoting quality & cost effective outcomes.
* Develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate individualized treatment plans with associates.
* Maintain effective communication with associate, supervisor, management, human resources, physician, third party care providers, insurance company, vocational rehabilitation and legal resources
* Plan effective return-to-work plan for associates and provide the essential functions of the job
* Act as associate advocate in resourcing appropriate health care.
* Initiate and facilitate case reviews
* Manages employees who are returning to work with restrictions.
* Assist with clarification of medical restrictions. Discuss treatment plan, prognosis and options.
* Discuss unique work environment First Solar and develop a plan for the associate safe return to the workplace.
* Sponsor Physician on-site visit and tour to build medical outreach.
* Communication link for the associate to receive information concerning: medical treatment, health care system, First Solar policies and procedures, return to work issues Coordinate employees’ safe return to work utilizing supervisor and EHS to understand job scope and requirements
* Maintain contact and monitor as needed the associate in modified work placement.
* Assist management and the associate to provide reasonable accommodation for associates returning to work or those requesting accommodation.
* Assist HR/Security as needed for medical input regarding employee performance issue or workplace violence event.
* Maintain confidentiality of health information
Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Geographical Science or equivalent.
* At least 7 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
* Excellent communication and influencing and effective organizational skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel.
* Occupational Health experience in a business setting (preferred).
* Applicants must be willing to work in Kulim.
