Jobing Description
1. Maintaining an orderly, efficient, and timely flow of patients.
2. Greeting patients and preparing them for physician's examination.
3. Providing general nursing care to patients as necessary for office treatment.
4. Screening patients for appropriate information.
5. Instructing patients in collection of samples and tests.
6. Arranging for patient testing and admissions
7. Checking rooms daily for necessary supplies.
8. Responding to and referring incoming telephone calls.
9. Instructing patients and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.
10. Maintaining and reviewing patients� records and other pertinent information.
11. Posting tests and examination results.
12. Maintaining patient confidentiality.
13. Administering medications in accordance with physician orders.
14. Maintaining current knowledge to assure a safe working environment and demonstrating practical application of all policies and procedures relative to safety and infection control.
15. Utilizing universal precautions in any potential contact with patient body fluids or used patient supplies that may be contaminated with patient body fluids.
16. Projecting a positive image of the facility in all interactions and supporting effective team functioning.
17. Responsible for work assignments and daily operations.
18. Follows all rules and regulations of Nurse Practice Act.
19. Maintains licensure and continuing education credits
20. Serves as a patient advocate.
21. Practices and adheres to the Code of Conduct philosophy and Mission and Value Statement.
Skills / Requirements
1. Knowledge of medical practice and care to assist in giving patient care.
2. Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.
3. Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
4. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
5. Skill in assisting in a variety of treatments and medications as directed.
6. Skill in taking vital signs.
7. Skill in maintaining records and recording test results.
8. Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance.
9. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
10. Ability to maintain quality control standards.
11. Ability to react quickly, calmly, and effectively in emergency situations.
12. Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
13. Ability to communicate clearly.
14. Ability to maintain strictest confidentiality.

Pay: $16.00 to $18.00/hour
Commensurate with experience.
